Coventry 2026: Results, Podium and Awards
Updated: 3 minutes ago
Thank you to everyone who joined us in Coventry. Across the three-day and two-day 40K events, you gave us plenty to celebrate: Sam Nash completed an eight-win run with Adeptus Mechanicus, three players went five from five in the two-day tournament, and clubs including Carnage, Warlords and Infinity Warp had several names near the top of the standings.
There were close finishes throughout the field, too. Three of the two-day event’s final-round games were settled by a single point. If you spent the weekend following your clubmates’ results between your own games, there is plenty here to share with them.
Three days, eight wins: Sam Nash takes first
1st — Sam Nash, Adeptus Mechanicus, 8–0
Eight rounds, eight wins. Sam finished the three-day tournament unbeaten, closing his weekend with a 92–87 victory over Mani Cheema. That five-point win secured first place and completed the only eight-win run in the event.
His army gives Adeptus Mechanicus fans plenty to look through. Belisarius Cawl and Thulia Ghuld joined four Kastelan Robots, a pair of Skorpius Disintegrators and an Onager Dunecrawler, with Ironstrider Ballistarii adding to the collection of machines. Rangers, Pteraxii, Sulphurhounds and Infiltrators also featured in the force.
Sam scored 761 battle points across the weekend, including 99 in both rounds five and seven. Congratulations, Sam: keeping a winning run going across all eight rounds is an achievement worth celebrating.
2nd — Mani Cheema, Glasshammer, Death Guard, 7–1
Mani finished second with seven wins and 772 battle points. His final game against Sam ended 87–92, leaving him just five points away in that last-round meeting. The Death Guard army included Mortarion, Typhus, 40 Poxwalkers, a Defiler and three Myphitic Blight-haulers, alongside an allied Knight Despoiler.
3rd — Craig Bedford, Carnage, Death Guard, 7–1
Craig completed the podium with seven wins and 751 battle points, finishing with an 88–80 victory over Ben Jones. His Death Guard also brought Mortarion, a Defiler and a Knight Despoiler. A Foetid Bloat-Drone and two Myphitic Blight-haulers gave his list a different mix of daemon engines. Congratulations to Craig and his Carnage clubmates on a strong weekend.
Five from five: the two-day podium
All three podium players finished unbeaten. Matthew McCurdy took first, Andy Quas-Cohen second and Fernando Soriano third, each with five wins from five games.
1st — Matthew McCurdy, Warlords, Space Wolves, 5–0
Matthew’s Space Wolves took first place with 484 battle points. His scores stayed above 90 in every round, and a 96–72 win over Harry Aitchison completed his undefeated weekend.
There is plenty for Space Wolves collectors to enjoy in Matthew’s army: Logan Grimnar with ten Wolf Guard Terminators, Arjac with a Terminator Assault Squad, and Bjorn alongside a Venerable Dreadnought. Two Wolf Scout squads, Eradicators and Impulsors also made the trip.
It is a wonderful result for Matthew and Warlords, with clubmate Tony Barrett adding a sixth-place finish. Congratulations on bringing the Space Wolves to the top of the two-day standings.
2nd — Andy Quas-Cohen, Warmasters, Necrons, 5–0
Andy secured second with 476 battle points, completing his run with a 98–74 win over Sean McQuaid. His Awakened Dynasty army included the Void Dragon, Illuminor Szeras and Imotekh, supported by Lokhust Destroyers and Heavy Destroyers. Five wins earned Andy a well-deserved place on the podium for Warmasters.
3rd — Fernando Soriano, Infinity Warp, T’au Empire, 5–0
Fernando’s undefeated weekend ended with a 100–48 win over Zan Rashid and 471 battle points overall. His Mont’ka army brought a Riptide, Ghostkeel, Broadside units and Crisis suits, with Breachers and a Devilfish also featuring. It was the leading result in a strong showing from Infinity Warp, who placed three players in the top nine.

Clubmates with plenty to celebrate
Carnage had three players in the three-day top eight: Craig in third, Kyle Grundy in fourth with T’au, and Matthew Langton in eighth with Tyranids. Kyle finished on seven wins, as did fifth-placed Liam Callebout with Adeptus Custodes. Both deserve congratulations alongside the podium.
Infinity Warp’s two-day results brought Fernando’s third place, Josh Burns’ fifth with Space Wolves and Nathan Evans’ ninth with Aeldari. Warlords paired Matthew’s victory with Tony’s sixth place, while Fire and Dice had Zan Rashid fourth and Byron Sidhu eighth.
Further through the field, the final round produced some wonderfully close scorelines. Jordan Penning beat Mark Wrigley 78–77, Ross James beat Glenn Connolly 95–94, and Tony Barrett beat Rhys Mollison-White 86–85. Those six players gave us three games separated by the smallest possible margin.
Congratulations to everyone who reached their own target for the weekend, whether that was a result, getting a finished army onto the table or making time for games with friends.
Kill Team Golden Tickets
Congratulations also to Coventry’s confirmed Kill Team Golden Ticket recipients: Sam Ryder for Best General and Tim Reeves for Best Overall. Both achievements deserve their place in the weekend’s celebrations.
