The Manchester Winter Recap: Podium, Awards, and the story of the event.

A deep thank you to everyone who attended the Manchester GT: Winter this weekend, and congratulations to all our winners. It was a fantastic showing for our biggest event in the North-West. Nearly 300 players battled it out over 7 rounds to crown our champion of the event.

This article is to celebrate all the attendees and congratulate those who set themselves apart!

Best General: Innes Wilson— Stat Check

A fantastic showing from the Scotsman, Innes officially enters the elite cohort of Multiple UKTC Super Major winners. And even more impressively this makes him a back-to-back winner of our events, following his victory in Nottinngham at the start of the year.

Innes piloted a body-heavy Deathwatch list to great success, scoring 652 out of a possible 700 battle points.

Innes' List

1st Runner Up: David Gaylard - Ignite

David makes a fantastic return to UKTC events, piloting a well rounded Ultramarines list, plenty of firepower backed up by a core of strong melee including the rogues gallery of Guilliman, Calgar, and Uriel Ventris.

David's List

• Armour of Antoninus (+10 pts)

Marneus Calgar (200 pts)

Roboute Guilliman (340 pts)

2nd Runner Up: Chris Kinnair

Chris piloted a unique Necrons list, Awakened Dynasty with no C'tan. A far cry from the expected and heavily popular Pantheon of Woe builds that were common amongst the most represented faction at the event.

4th Place: Matt Langton - Carnage

Matt shocked the field with an incredible run on his signature Tyranids army, making his first ever UKTC top cut and falling to David in his final round, a truly unexpected performance from what is considered a weaker faction by many. Showing just how a skilled player with a deep understanding of their list can outclass stronger builds by solid gameplay and skill.

The Unconquerables

It was not just these top 4 in the final cut, we had a total of 9 players finish the regular play at that prestigious 5 - 0 scoreline, showing their skill and resolve in such a large field. The rest of your unconquerables for the Manchester GT Winter are:

Greg Chamberlain - DeadRedGaming - Leagues of Votann

Scott Morris - Carnage - Aeldari

Ben Jones - Vanguard Tactics - Orks

Kevin Davies - Carnage - Necrons

Taff Jones - Vale Renegades - Adeptus Custodes
