Pairings are live! For the first round of the South Coast Super-Major, this means that we can have our first look at the complete meta breakdown for this event!

At a Glance
Space Marines remain the most popular faction, dominating the field as their own faction - accounting for over a quarter of the field when you include the non codex compliant chapters.
With a not-so-surprising Tau empire in 2nd place and a more suprising surge in the disciple of khorne as the World Eaters are the 3rd most represented faction at the event.
Big sticks and big guns, and ravening hordes
Continuous changes to the Necrons may now have taken them below the auto take dominance that previous events showcased, however they are still very strong and the C'tan stat check remains an oppressive way to play, with a deep enough codex to run other styles such as silver tide warrior pressure or a fast gun-line in starshatter arsenal.
Similarly the Tau empire received a small tweak to the Twin-Lance unit, with a small bump in points and additional requirements to their ability to move again in the fightphase, this has limited their speed slightly but are still considered one of the most powerful units in the codex and Mont'Ka sees a very dominant winrate with its ability to mix early board control, mobility, and raw damage with deadly consequence.
The World Eaters surprise is a very interesting one, and a rise in popularity for the and Emperors children also for this event, whilst it might be tempting to point to the recently upgraded Defiler datasheet as the obvious answer here it is far from the truth, as across all of these two factions at this event there are only 3 defilers in total.
That said however, there is a spike in Angrons appearing in lists, which is one of the World Eaters most reliable anti tank units, paired with exalted eightbound are also able to deal with Ctan, Necron Vehicles, and Marine Gun lines with relative competency. Maybe this choice will pay off as traditionally the fast melee armys can stage aggressively enough to be effective on the UKTC terrain layouts.
factions to watch
The Dark angels, Tyranids, and Votann all have fairly good showing here, which for middle of the pack factions show a dedicated fan base, that when piloted well can perform with the best of them, we have seen these factions all challenge for the top cut in recent events.
Specialist Factions
We see, as always a few brave souls sticking to their faction through all power levels. The Genestealer Cults, Grey Knights, Grey Knights, Deathwatch, and Agents looking to leverage their skill and potential knowledge gap with just a few brave souls leading them each. We have consistently seen faction specialsm be a deciding factor for good runs in a tournament. We will have to see if this trend remains through the South-Coast Super-Major.
