Many of you will have noticed some new faces in the striped jerseys at our events recently. These are the members of the community who have stepped up to help ensure that games at our tournaments are played fairly and keep the events at the highest quality of competitive play possible. We launched this programme at the end of last year and have been thrilled by the response and participation from the community.
It is with great pleasure that we can announce Henry C as our first graduate from the UKTC Judge Programme and achieving his Tier 1 Judge status.
The UKTC Judge Programme
The UKTC have been running events for a while now (it's our 10th Anniversary this year), and in that time we have developed a set of best practices that reflect our experience in officiating competitive warhammer events.
The judge programme is our way of sharing this accumulated knowledge, as we train, mentor, and support the next generation of judges that help keep the game growing and moving.
Open to anyone to apply the programme is aimed to provide consistent training and experience to judges to allow them to raise their bar of knowledge and understanding of the game. Then take this back to their local communities and events and use that to improve those games and events.
Henrys journey
It is no small undertaking to become a judge, let alone progress through the tiers. The first tier takes at least 3 events to complete as you get up to speed on the nuances of judging and the processes that support UKTC events. Building your experience and knowledge through active coaching and mentorship from our senior members.
Once this is completed you qualify and officially become a Tier 1 judge. Henry has completed this first step and we are thrilled to welcome him to the next level of his UKTC judge journey as he continues working towards the next tier.
Henry has joined us for all our formats, helping judge both Singles and Teams events, most recently at the Manchester GT: Winter where he helped support the biggest event in the North-West. The different formats have their own set of restrictions and approach to judging and learning the flexibility between them is a core tool in the Judges arsenal.
Once again, congratulations to Henry for this achievement as our first of many graduates from the Judge programme passing through our processes with flying colours!
Want to get involved?
If you want to be part of this and be part of the next generation of Judges that help make the community so special then we want to hear from you!

The LGT 2026 Launches tomorrow
Our biggest event of the season is almost here - tickets will be launching tomorrow (Friday 27th February 2026) at 2PM.
We are making significant changes this year to make this the best quality event possible, improving from last year both in size and space. We have capped the tickets available overall so that, whilst the 40k tournament will be bigger, there will be less people in the room overall.
This lets us guarantee more space per player and will help improve other key feedback points such as the queues for food and the facilities.
With these strictly capped tickets we strongly advise that you get your ticket as soon as you can.
You can get notification emails as soon as tickets launch by signing up for specific re-stock notifications here:
