The Summer I.T.T. 2026 Winrates and Rankings impact

The Summer I.T.T. marked the beginning of a new chapter for competitive team 40K, becoming the first UKTC Team Tournament of 11th Edition.

With more than 350 players and 72 teams taking part, the event generated a huge sample of competitive games across a wide range of factions. That gives us an excellent opportunity to look beyond popularity and see which armies are actually converting their presence into results.

With every tournament, the picture of the new meta becomes clearer.

So, what did the numbers tell us at the Summer I.T.T.?

Team Sigil Wins Summer I.T.T.

First, the headline result.

Team Sigil have done it again! After five rounds of competitive team 40K, they overcame Carnage Behemoth in the final to claim the title. Following their victory at the Winter I.T.T., this marks another major championship for Team Sigil as they continue their incredible run through 11th Edition.

The Summer I.T.T. podium was stacked:

  1. Team Sigil

  2. Carnage Behemoth

  3. DeadRedGaming

  4. Carnage

  5. Vanguard Tactics

  6. TYPHOON

  7. Mind Goblins

Team Sigil put together a diverse selection of armies, combining popular meta choices with less conventional picks. Their performance demonstrated the strength of their players and their ability to get the most out of a wide variety of lists. Congratulations to Team Sigil on winning the Summer I.T.T.!

The Throne remains, but the pressure continues...

The Summer International Team Tournament may not have changed the top of the Rankings, but it certainly added more pressure to the race.

With Vanguard Tactics maintaining their position at the top, the battle for supremacy remains wide open. Another major event has come and gone, and with every tournament bringing new challengers, the gap at the summit could become increasingly difficult to defend.

After the Summer IT.T., the top five became:

  1. Vanguard Tactics

  2. Warmasters

  3. Mind Goblins

  4. Carnage

  5. Team Sigil

The Summer I.T.T.: What Actually Won Games?

Another major event means another opportunity to see how the 11th Edition competitive landscape is taking shape.

With more than 350 players representing 28 factions, the Summer ITT provided another valuable snapshot of the armies currently competing at the highest level.

The most popular faction was Emperor's Children, with 26 players, closely followed by Space Marines with 25 and Orks with 24. Adeptus Custodes and T'au Empire also attracted significant numbers, making them some of the most prominent armies in the event.

Among the largest factions, Orks stood out with an impressive 59.84% win rate, while Emperor's Children and Adeptus Custodes also performed strongly at 59.47% and 58.70%, respectively.

Dark Angels delivered the strongest performance among the factions with meaningful representation, posting an excellent 64.00% win rate from 10 players. Death Guard also impressed with 59.02%, while Chaos Daemons and Drukhari showed that strong results were not limited to the most popular armies.

At the other end of the table, Imperial Knights struggled to find consistent success, recording just a 35.71% win rate. Aeldari also had a difficult event at 36.67%, while Astra Militarum finished at 38.89%.

The middle of the table remains particularly competitive. Grey Knights and Adeptus Mechanicus landed almost exactly on a 50% win rate, while Thousand Sons, Chaos Knights, Leagues of Votann and World Eaters all remained within striking distance.

The Summer ITT once again shows a competitive landscape in motion. With several of the most popular factions performing above 55%, and others struggling to keep up, the race to establish the strongest armies of 11th Edition is far from settled.

Force Dispositions: The Picture Becomes Clearer

With another Super-Major in the books, we're starting to see meaningful trends emerge in Force Dispositions.

Reconnaissance was the big surprise of the weekend. After struggling to make an impact at previous tournaments, it bounced back in a big way, finishing as the best-performing Force Disposition at 55.04% win rate. That's a significant turnaround and one of the clearest shifts we've seen so far in 11th Edition.

Take and Hold also continued to perform strongly, finishing just behind Reconnaissance at 52.94%, while Purge the Foe and Priority Assets both landed almost exactly on the 50% mark, at 49.02%.

At the other end of the table, Disruption had the toughest weekend, finishing at 45.80%. While the gap between the different Dispositions isn't enormous, the results suggest that some of the early assumptions around which missions are most reliable may already be changing.

It's still early in 11th Edition, but with another 355 games added to the dataset, these results are becoming increasingly difficult to dismiss as noise. Reconnaissance's resurgence in particular will be one to keep an eye on at the next major event.
