The Spring ITT Rankings Updates

The Rankings Are Moving

The latest National Team Rankings are out, and if you were at Spring ITT, there's a good chance you're feeling pretty pleased with yourself right now.

Spring ITT was the most recent event feeding into the rankings, and the results have shaken things up across the table. Plenty of familiar names held their ground, some teams made huge jumps, and a few new faces showed up on the national board for the first time. The rankings are very much alive right now.

tHE SUMMARY

Of the 71 teams that attended Spring ITT:

  • 45 teams already had a previous national ranking

  • 26 teams entered the rankings as a result of this update

  • Of the previously ranked Spring ITT attendees, 23 teams climbed

  • 5 teams held their position

  • 17 teams dropped

That is already a strong sign that attending gives teams a real chance to move. But the comparison with non-attendees is where it gets really clear.

Among teams that did not attend Spring ITT:

  • 0 teams moved up

  • 8 teams held their ranking

  • 150 teams dropped

That is the story of this update.

The teams that attended gave themselves a chance to gain ground. The teams that did not attend were mostly overtaken by teams who were active, competing, and scoring points.

The Top End Is Looking Fierce

Of the current top 10, all 10 played this weekend. Of the top 20, 15 were in attendance. That should tell you all you need to know. Doing well in the National Team Rankings is a combination of consistent performance and regular play. Strong finishes across multiple events is what drives a climb up the placings.

Team Sigil are still sitting at number one. They backed it up with a win at Spring ITT too, which is the kind of consistency needed to keep a team at the top.

The rest of the top five Fire and Dice – Targaryen, Warmasters, Mind Goblins, and Crow Team Six all held their places.

Breaking into that group remains difficult, and fair play to all of them for staying put.

Big Climbs, Big Statements

The real fun is further down the table, though.

Mind Gobliins had a brilliant event, finishing 2nd at Spring ITT and jumping from 14th to 7th nationally.

Sigil Reloaded rose from 18th to 10th after a 9th-place finish.

6++ Alpharius might have had the most eye-catching move of all. A 4th place at the event translated into a surge from 38th all the way up to 19th.

There were loads of other teams making noise too. Wessex Wyverns climbed 21 places. Mind Gobliiins jumped 18. Tuesday Knights moved up 16. Carnage Chaos went from 108th to 75th off the back of a top-ten finish. And Flapcats and Flackcannons recorded one of the biggest single-event climbs, going up 51 places.

One good weekend. Massive difference. That's the beauty of it.

New Names on the Board

Spring ITT also brought some fresh teams into the rankings for the first time. Power Rangerz!! got on the board after finishing 8th, and COMP PLAY Surrey Primarchs, Objectives Optionall, Phoenix40k, and Gains Workshop all made their national debut too.

Getting ranked for the first time is a proper milestone. Now they've got something to build on and something to defend.

Attendance Matters

The pattern here isn't subtle. Teams that went to Spring ITT moved. Teams that didn't dropped, because others were out there picking up results while they weren't.

That's just how rankings work. If you want to climb, you have to show up.

ITT Autumn Is Coming

The next chance to do exactly that isn't far off. ITT Autumn launches this month, and our teams events sell out fast. I'm talking days, not weeks.

Sort your group chat now. Check who's available. Get a squad together. Don't be the team that misses the entry window because nobody got organised in time.

Congrats to Everyone Who Moved

Well done to every team that climbed, held firm, or got ranked for the first time. Spring ITT has given the whole table a proper shake-up, which is great to see.

The question now is who's going to take their shot at the Autumn ITT?
