Following the conclusion of play on Saturday 8 August 2026, after the event had finished, UKTC staff were informed of a confrontation involving two players, outside of the event hall. A disagreement connected with their game had continued after the round and escalated into a physical confrontation.
The event team obtained accounts from both parties and relevant witnesses. Based on the information available, both players were issued red cards and removed from the event. Neither will take any further part in the event.
UKTC does not tolerate threatening, abusive, or physically aggressive behaviour. Any concern relating to an opponent’s gameplay or conduct must be raised with event staff. Players must not attempt to resolve these matters through personal confrontation.
The accounts provided differed on aspects of the incident. UKTC will not publish the statements provided, speculate publicly on disputed details, or identify the individuals involved.
The safety of our players, staff, and attendees is our highest priority. We will continue to take firm action where conduct falls below the standards required at UKTC events.
The 41st millennium may be a violent place, but the 21st should not be.
