Warmachine Comes to the UKTC!

For the first time ever, Warmachine will feature at a UKTC Grand Tournament, starting with The Manchester GT (February 21–22, 2026) This will be an Iron Gauntlet EU Qualifier, bringing Warmachine players from around the world together for two days of pulse-racing matched play.

Hosted by UKTC in partnership with Steamforged Games, The Manchester GT marks the latest addition to the Warmachine organised play programme in the UK — with more UKTC events to follow, including the London GT later in 2026.

The event will be run using the official Steamroller format, updated annually each January. You can find the latest Steamroller pack here.

​

Steamroller format (at a glance):

  • Swiss pairing system.

  • Army lists: each player may bring one or two lists, each up to 100 points.

  • Scoring: 1 tournament point for a win, 0 for a loss or draw (draws are extremely rare).

  • Chess clocks: each player has 60 minutes.

  • Rounds: 2 hours 15 minutes each.

  • Structure: event ends when there is one undefeated player (e.g. 32 players = 5 rounds, 64 players = 6 rounds).

  • Duration: events with 33+ players will run across two days.

  • Tiebreakers: the first tiebreaker is Strength of Schedule.

Is there prizing?

Yes! Official Steamforged prize support will be supplemented with exclusive UKTC prize packs, giving players even more reasons to battle it out at the tables.
